PASS System Requirements
The following system requirements are recommended for the best performance of the PASS System:
For PC Users
- Windows XP, 2000, NT, ME, 98, or 95
- 800 x 600 or higher screen resolution
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later
- JavaScript enabled and Cookies enabled in the browser
- Download and run Flash Player 8 or later (available free)
- Sound card (for reading tutorials)
For Mac Users
- Mac OS 8.5 or later
- 800 x 600 or higher screen resolution
- Safari 3.0 or later
- JavaScript enabled and Cookies enabled in the browser
- Download and run FlashPlayer 8 or later (available free)
- Sound card (for reading tutorials)
Here are some things you can do to make the PASS System run faster.
Basic Tips
- Close other Web pages, files, and programs that are not part of the PASS System.
- When possible, connect to the Internet with a high-speed connection.
Advanced Tips
Changing the settings on your computer can also help the PASS System run faster. You will probably need help from a computer professional such as a lab teacher or technical support technician.
- Delete your offline Internet content.
- Install all current Windows updates.
- Increase the cache size of your browser.
- Regularly clear computer of viruses, spyware, and adware.
- Run Scan Disk and Disk Defragmenter at least twice per year.

To maximize the size of a printed report, set the orientation to landscape.
