How do you add whole numbers?
First, remember this:
- When adding whole
numbers, always work from right to left. Add the digits in the ones column first, and then add the digits in the tens column.
Example 1 : First add the digits in the ones
column. Use the blocks beside the problem to help you understand.
Now add the digits in the tens
column

tens = 2 tens).
